Artist's Comments

I was bored on a Saturday night and wanted to try out a new boom arm I got for myself.

The idea I had, which I couldn't figure out how to do well, was to have a bunch of whispy spirts swirling around the scene. Sometimes I think the world is filled with other-worldly beings and I see the world like this sometimes. Anyway I couldn't figure it out in photoshop. Maybe Ill fire up Lightwave and do some 3d renderings and composite them on. This is what I do when Im home alone ;) (get your mind out of the gutter)

I like to do ghost hunts and that kind of inspired this. I would never do EVP work in my own house. If I heard something on the tape I would probably sell the house and live in a hotel.

I would love to see or hear about anyone that can do that type of work. I am always looking for tips ;)

*sarcasm* That's not creepy at all. I do know what you mean. IF you heard something, you'd be out of there asap.

I'd probably soil myself first though

Completely understandable. I actually hid under a blanket when I saw something in my old house >.<

I really like it.
How did you try to do it?
Over exposure or something?
:iconraycaster:
no over exposure, just 1 shot with a custom white balance set. I took several shots with me in different positions and cut my self out and pasted it in various spots. Its kind of a where's waldo kind of thing. The textures are actually a few layers of dodging and burning and some other tools in PS. I blurred myself and then erased the layer to make my face more clear. Its just a random bit of playing around to try and match what I wanted it to be, but its not really that close.

Well I really like it..
Alot.
I wish i had photoshop at home.
But i have had to do all my editing at my grandmothers house. cause she has it and yet never uses it.
And i lack the money for a nice copy of it.
:iconraycaster:
i must be the only person I know that actually pays for photoshop. Most people I know found ways around that whole "paying" thing....just sayin...... ;) <----see the wink there?

P.S. in no way do I condone the use of pirated software!

Thanks for the compliment. I wish my photoshop skills were better too. I would have a much cooler image.

I mean really thats like a slap in the face if someone took my art and got paid for it.
:iconraycaster:
exactly. I also develop software for a living so as someone who makes a living writing code, I never use pirated stuff. I am just saying there are people out there ;)

Your answer keeps people like me employed ;)
